December to Remember

It’s said to forget the one that hurt you bad,
The same one that had made you sad,
The one who caused you all your pain,
And made you forget all that you’ve gained,
But I say it’s better to remember,
Write about her in December,
Better to calm this high fueled temper,

Writing for her in October,
No we’ll never leave each other,
I’ll never leave your side,
I promise things will be alright,
It’s better to remember,
The lights barely shine just like an ember,
Write about her in December,
Better to calm down in this gloomy weather,

Writing to her in November,
I said I’m glad we have each other,
Days may change,
But I still feel the same,
Different game,
Eyes closed I see her name,
Can’t believe how I was played,
But it’s better to remember,
Write about her in December,
Better to write her out this letter,

Writing through the rain,
Things just stay the same,
Telling me just let it go,
She’s putting on a show,
You’re the puppet now,
Her strings tell you say no,
Seems control is gone,
Write it out through an old song,
It’s better to remember,
Write about her in December,
Better pull yourself together,

Now that things have changed,
Nothing stayed the same,

My future is much brighter,
They call me an okay writer,
Better to your day job,
No you ain’t going higher,
Got my team, we can’t stop,
This time next year we’ll be on top

  1. I can’t believe I wasted my time reading the whole thing. If you think you’re a writer, learn that the correct word is “all right” not “alright.”

    • Haha, thank you. I’m pretty sure writing is a self expression, and I shall be sure to replace “alright” with ” all right” in my vernacular and my writings.

Can you go through my other “pieces” and tell me what I did wrong? I’m not very good by your standards and I’d like to improve on that.
